The Association was founded 1978 and currently has 26 members.
VEFI is the oldest forfaiting association of the world.
Our goals are
- to improve the general recognition of the Swiss forfaiting market
- to share knowledge and experience among our members
- to introduce exporters, importers and financial institutions to the benefits of forfaiting

VEFI 32nd Annual General Meeting (AGM) held on 5th May 2011 in Zurich.   Here the outcome; the following VEFI board members have been unanimously elected for the next term as follows:
Mr Sal. Chiappinelli will serve as Chairman through 31st July 2011, as of 1st August 2011 Mr Dieter von Boddien will serve as Chairman, other elected VEFI members of the Board are: Mr J. Fischer, Mr C. Lauper, Mr P. Dornauer until 31st July 2011, Mrs Guelten Dikmen and Mr O. Bernales. Mr Lino Orler of Liechtensteinische Landesbank (Schweiz) A,G Zurich and Mr Daniel Schär of Zürcher Kantonalbank Zurich have been appointed as VEFI auditors.
The Board would like to also express a very warm "thank you" to all members that directly or indirectly have given support to the Association of Forfaiters in Switzerland during 2010.
